Coils exist in many shapes and forms. Here are a few handy ones useful for securing and stowing spare lines, the ends of halyards, etc. The loops of most coils are made clockwise.
The most commonly employed coil on a sailboat. In the video I wrapped the coil downwards. That’s one way. Wrapping it upwards is more common and probably the way I do it 50% of the time.
